Learning Outcomes

Surgical nursing

The student understands the different dimensions of patient´s health and learns to recognize the individual needs of the patient in holistic nursing. The student understands the ethics as a basis of nursing. The student learns to use research knowledge of nursing research in planning patients care. The student learns documentation and giving oral reports.


Basics of Perioperative Nursing

The student learns the essential perioperative nursing methods and implementing them in perioperative nursing.The student learns asepsis.

Contents

Surgical nursing

Care pathway of a surgical patient. Planning of the pre- and postoperative nursing. Nursing methods of a surgical patient. Wound care. Pain management. Asepsis in nursing. Human caring, quidance and teaching of the surgical patient. Pharmacotherapy and dose calculation.

Perioperative nursing

Principles of perioperative Nursing Methods and dose calculation
