Learning Outcomes

The student knows what the normal changes during pregnancy, normal delivery and normal puerperium and the most common gynaecologal diseases. The student knows how a foetus developes and what normal delivery and puerperium are like and the special characteristics of a newborn baby. She/he will learn to guide and advise families and women who have gynaecological deases.

Contents

The anatomy and physiology of the reproductive organs, the changes during pregnancy, the development of a fetus, normal delivery and puerperium and maternity care in primary health care and specialised medical care. Emergency delivery.The most common gynaecolical diseases, examinations, treatment and nursing.
