Learning Outcomes

The student knows the basic concepts in public health science. Students should also study endemic diseases, their origin and risk factors, so as to formulate an effective health policy. The student will get acquainted with research methods used in public health science and read research reports.

Contents

Public health science as a field of science, key concepts in epidemiology, Finnish public health problems and measurement of health.
