Learning Outcomes
The student understands the special features that involve being a social services client. He knows the basic interaction skills needed in social services client work and understands the factors that effect work energy in the social services branch. The student understands the characteristics and operational principles of a modern, flexible work community and knows how to develop his own work community according to them.
Student's Workload
Amount of work altogether 65 contact hours and 70 hours of independent study.
The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents
Maintaining work motivation and work welfare, self-knowledge as a part of interaction, chemistry between people, giving and receiving feedback, diversity of the work in the social services branch, basics of work and organizational behaviour, hiring and initiation factors.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Lectures (Customership 18h + Operating in a work community 31 h + collective seminar 8h), exercises, group work, independent study.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student knows how to operate as a developer in a work community. The student knows how to evaluate the work in social services in order to develop better working customs.
Grade 3: The student knows how to apply a theory that relates to working life into different work communities (reconciliation of theory and practice). The student is capable of analysing his own work community on the grounds of the information.
Grade 1-2: The student recognizes the features of a functional work community. The student knows how to describe the special features that involve being a social services client and the duties.
Assessment Methods
Participation in exercises and group work, written assignment or exam. Numeric evaluation.
