Learning Outcomes

The student gets acquainted with university studies and with Vaasa University of Applied Sciences as a studying environment. The student familiarizes and socializes with his own student group and with other students studying for Bachelors of social services. The student perceives the social services branch, the occupation of a bachelor of social services and the job opportunities of the branch. The student grasps the meaning of communicational thinking and target-oriented communication in communicative situations of his own branch. He knows how to produce various texts that are needed when studying and in working life. The student understands the way of thinking in social pedagogy and developmental psychology. The student understands the prevailing conformities to law of lifelong development and learns the basics of working in social pedagogy.
