Learning Outcomes
The student will acquire sufficient language skills to manage in various communicative situations in working life and in professional contexts. The student develops his/her skills in written and in oral communication in professional contexts. (S)he is able to use English for acquiring information during the studies and in working life. The student has a positive attitude towards language learning.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 5
The student can communicate fluently in English both in speech and in writing. S/he has an extensive vocabulary and understands texts of the field without difficulty. The student has an interest in improving his/her skills all the time.
Grade 3
The student is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in his/her own speech. S/he knows the essential vocabulary of the field and understands texts fn the field.
Grade 1
The student can follow a work-related discussion. S/he knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field.
Assessment Methods
Active class participation, completed oral and written exercises, written and oral examination. Continuous process assessment. Grading scale (0-5). Peer evaluation.
