Learning Outcomes
Work with Intoxicant Abusers, 3 cr
SSA0601 (Study modul)
The student will be able to analyze intoxicant politics and national intoxicant programs as a part of national Social Policy and will know the main regulations, services and duties related to the use of intoxicants. The Student will get a general idea of the nature of intoxicant problems. The student will know the basis of intoxicant work and main acting forms and practice. The student will learn to identify abuse and intoxicant dependence from the point of view of user and his immediate community.
Contents
How social structures, culture and surroundings influence on the behaviour of the intoxicant abuser. Services in Intoxicant Care, its objectives and main rules. Regulations connected to the use of intoxicants. Intoxicants and their influence, risks of use and riskgroups. Methods in Intoxicant Work. Preventive Intoxicant Work and information. Current challenges of Intoxicant Work.
