Learning Outcomes

The student learns the different factors affecting individual’s abilities and coping in every day life. The student will get familiar with a social problem from the point of view of a individual and a family. The student knows different methods of promoting, relieving or reducing social problems. The student knows different methods of social support. The student will be able to work as a member of work community and different work groups and as instructor in different client situations.

Contents

Councelling, supporting and helping in social services; social work, child welfare/ protection, youth work, job centres or social security officies,elderly services, services for the handicapped people, organisations.

Assessment Methods

Practical training, report and self-evaluation, pass/fail
