Learning Outcomes

The student knows the principles to implement a renovation project and the differences to a new construction project. S/he is familiar with old structural solutions and how to renovate them. The student is able to draw up an implementation plan for a renovation project including the methods description, demolition plan, schedule and safety plan and cost estimate.

Contents

Feature of revovation projects, defining the renovation needs, influnce to site planning, target price for a renovation project. Contrictional renovation work, improving the energy efficiency of houses. Area, schedule, quality, safety and demolition plans. Cost estimate of a renovation project.

Recommended or Required Reading and Other Learning Resources/Tools

Ratu-material for renovation building and other material announced by the teacher.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lectures and assignment. The assignment will be connected to the Renovation building common core theme.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 1: The student knows the contents of the study unit that are relevant in working life.
Grade 3: The student is able to utilise the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
Grade 5: The student is able to utilise and apply the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
