Learning Outcomes

This course provides students with understanding of procurement as a critical business process and a strategic tool for achieving competitive advantage. Students will learn the procurement as a process and it’s phases, supplier selection, relationship management, negotiation strategies, and pricing dynamics. The course emphasizes the role of procurement in fostering strong supplier partnerships and creating value within organizations. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Understand the phases of the procurement process and their strategic importance. Utilize procurement as a tool to enhance organizational competitiveness. Identify and apply effective criteria for supplier selection and evaluation. Manage supplier relationships and conduct successful negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Know different pricing strategies and their implications in decision-making.
