Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, you will understand and master the key concepts and principles of criminal law. You will also have an in-depth knowledge of the criminal process from the preliminary investigation through the consideration of charges to the resolution of the case and the possible enforcement of the sentence. Upon completing the course, you will also be familiar with the criminal law sanction system. By following the handling of a criminal case in the district or court of appeal, you will understand the criminal process from a procedural perspective and become acquainted with the substantive part of the criminal code (crime classifications) on a practical level. Additionally, after completing the course, you will be able to integrate the knowledge gained from previous courses into criminal law.

Contents
Understanding and internalizing the key concepts and principles of criminal law.
Familiarity with the different stages of the criminal process (including preliminary investigation, consideration of charges, handling of the case, enforcement of the sentence, mediation).
Knowledge of criminal law legislation (including the Criminal Code, Imprisonment Act, Coercive Measures Act, etc.).
Understanding the main features of the criminal law sanction system.
Deepening knowledge by following the handling of a criminal case/cases in the district or court of appeal for one day and writing a report.
Integrating the knowledge gained from previous studies into the topics covered in the course.
