Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, the student will have an understanding of the role and significance of legislation in property law. The student will master the basic knowledge of types of property law contracts needed in working life and business operations. The student will have a clear and structured overall picture of the basic principles of property law and will also be familiar with the differences between contract types. Additionally, the student will master the basics of ownership transfers and understand these as part of business operations. The student will be able to critically evaluate property law issues as part of the company's operations in society.

In higher education, 1 credit corresponds to 27 hours of student work. For this course, that means 135 hours, which are divided into contact hours, exercises, and independent study
Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses
Completion of the contract and obligation law course.
Contents
The course includes the following topics:
• Key principles and concepts of property law
• Different types of property law contracts and the legislation governing them
• Legislation concerning the sale of movable property, housing, and real estate
• Commission and service contracts
Regional Impact
Awareness of local authorities and the operations of the National Land Survey of Finland.
