Learning Outcomes

The student is familiar with business communication and written correspondance and its principles. The student knows how to communicate on telephone, (online) meetings and negotiations. The student can write an application letter and a CV as well as business messages in the purchasing process The student develops her/his professional writing and reading skills further.

Student's Workload

The total workload 81 h.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Business communications, telephone situations and (online) meetings and negoatiations.
Applying for a job and writing a CV
Professional documents, business messages
Professional texts and communications situations.

Material supplied by the teacher online and material retrieved by the students themselves according to the teacher's intructions.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Blended learning: independent studying online, various methods of online teaching, oral and independently completed written assignments and exercises online.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: The student is able to communicate fluently, almost without mistakes, both in speech and in writing. S/he has an extensive vocabulary of the field and understands field-specific texts without difficulty.
Grade 3: The student knows the essential vocabulary and understands the texts in the field. S/he is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in the speech.
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field. S/he can follow work discussions and can give a presentation by reading it from the paper.

Assessment Methods

Continuous assessment and an examination.
