Learning Outcomes
The student learns to calculate, dimension and design a product entity. The student understands how a gearbox is part of the drive system and how the system can be monitored. The student gets practice in acting as a team member. The student understands the significance of the design to manufacturability and manufacturing costs.

Contents
As a group assignment, two-axial gearbox is designed and manufactured in co-operation with another university. Based on the raw data, the gearbox is designed and manufactured so that it can be tested with a test run setup.
