Learning Outcomes
The student will understand the principle of creating a product model and is able to make models which are easy to modify. He/she knows how to use Top-down design methods to produce part and assembly models. The student will appreciate the possibilities to use various simulation methods in product design.

Contents
Specifying and producing product models. Using Layouts and linking them with the model. Modeling assemblies and linking parts to them. Creating features and part models in the concept of assembly model. Using skeleton models with assemblies. Making family parts and product family tables. Replacing components in the assembly structure. Strength and motion analysis. Producing drawings and maintaining them. Using a PLM-system in a design project.

Numerical assessment, examination and assignments. Examination includes practical tasks on workstations.
