Learning Outcomes
The student is familiar with energy production and consumption related terminology and know how to interpret the statistics associated with them. The student is familiar energy production methods currently used in energy production and future prospects of energy production and consumption. The student is able to consider the methods of energy production from the environment, ethical and economic point of views.

Contents
The emphasis is on the energy production methods utilized currently but also on the methods the use of which will increase in the future. This gives a good basis to study also the future models in energy production and consumption. Environmental impacts are an essential part of the study unit.
