Learning Outcomes
The student learns to calculate, dimension, design and manufacture a product entity. The student understands how a gearbox is part of the drive system and how the system can be monitored. S/He gets practice in acting as a team member. The student understands the significance of the design to manufacturability and manufacturing costs.

Contents
Usages and functions of a NC machine, transfer and modification of programs and verification with a NC machine. As a group assignment, two-axial gearbox is designed and made, based on the raw data.
