Learning Outcomes

The student knows the principles of project management, can make a project plan and lead the project in completion. The student knows the principles of cost and resource control and can make a project schedule using project control software.

Total work load of the student 81 h, of which
- scheduled studies 42 h
- autonomous studies 39 h.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Building up a project organisation, making a project plan,
project time, cost and resource planning, project control, follow up and reporting, scheduling the project using project planning software.

Risto Pelin: Projektinhallinnan käsikirja. Projektijohtaminen Oy Risto Pelin, 2009 or newer edition (book).
Other material given by lecturer. MsProject software.

Lectures, group work, project work, exercises.

Assessment Criteria

Assessment Methods

Numerical assessment: examination and exercises 50%, project work 50%.
