Learning Outcomes
The student will learn both technology and international technology marketing and project work in this course. The student will become familiar with distributed energy systems and their operation in general. The main electrical components used in a distributed energy system will be learned. Also the student will gain general understanding about how the generated power is being distributed via the electric network and what are the main challenges. The student will learn how to market and sell an energy system and what kind of challenges can bet met in leading international energy projects. The student will learn how to operate in a multinational, diverse team
Student's Workload
70 h scheduled studies of which intensive week 40 hrs
65 autonomous studies
Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses
The basic courses of physics and electrical engineering
Contents
The student will learn how the primary energy is converted into the electricity using power generators. Special attention is paid how the generators are connected into the grid. The student will learn how the electrical energy is converted back to the mechanical work.
