Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, the student is familiar with laboratory methods related to the production of drinking water and municipal wastewater treatment. The student can apply standards related to drinking water production and wastewater treatment. The student learns, among other things, to evaluate and measure the quality and composition of water samples using approved methods. The student learns to evaluate the reduction in the water treatment process.
After the course, the student can compile written reports in accordance with good scientific practice based on experimental work. The student can apply scientific writing guidelines, including referencing, and creatively use national and international literature from their field to interpret results. The student can use the Excel program to present results.
The course develops teamwork skills. The student takes responsibility for the group's learning and sharing of knowledge. The student learns to utilize the opportunities provided by technology and digitalization.
The course aims to deepen the knowledge from the Water Treatment course and is taken simultaneously with the Water Treatment course
Student's Workload
The total workload is 135 hours, of which 45 hours are scheduled classes. The remaining 90 hours consist of independent work by the student: familiarizing themselves with the exercise instructions and the literature mentioned in them, as well as preparing exercise reports in groups.
