Learning Outcomes

Student will learn the concepts of access and trunk networks and master the internetwork TCP/IP communications of switched networks and router networks. Student will master the design and implementation of TCP/IP networks and services related to TCP/IP networks.

Student's Workload

The total amount of student's work is 135 h, which contains 70 h of contact studies in the youth program and 50 h of contact studies in the adult program. The remaining time is used for individual studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Switched networks. IPv6. TCP/IP services. Routing and Security in Computer Networks. Network Management.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: Student will master the design and implementation of TCP/IP networks and services related to TCP/IP networks.
Grade 3: Student masters the concepts of access and trunk networks and the internetwork TCP/IP communications of switched networks and router networks.
Grade 1: Student is familiar with the concepts of access and trunk networks and the internetwork TCP/IP communications of switched networks and router networks.

Assessment Methods

Assignments, laboratory exercises and examination. Numerical grading.
