Learning Outcomes
After completing the capstone project course, students will have demonstrated their ability to integrate and apply their knowledge from previous coursework to design and develop a complete software solution in collaboration with peers and embedded systems students. They will gain experience working in interdisciplinary teams to address real-world challenges. Software students will be responsible for creating robust, scalable, and maintainable software that interfaces with embedded devices, ensuring seamless communication and system functionality. They will refine their project management, version control, and collaborative development skills while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Through this hands-on experience, students will also learn to address challenges such as resource constraints, system integration, and performance optimization in embedded environments. By the end of the course, they will have a portfolio-ready project showcasing their ability to bridge software and hardware domains to solve meaningful problems.
