Learning Outcomes
After the course, the student understands how to develop modern mobile applications, she is familiar with cloud computing environments, and she understand the special characteristics of the cloud systems.
Student's Workload
135 h, which contains 70 h of scheduled contact studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Object Oriented Programming, Java Server Programming.
Contents
Design and implementation of an Android application. Implementation of a cloud-based server solution; authentication, enabling global scaling and consideration of the cost structure of the cloud solution.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student is able to independently implement a client-server solution for a mobile client using a cloud-based server solution. The student can take into consideration the special features of mobile systems (touch screen, location and status data availability) and is able to efficiency use the modern cloud systems.
Grade 3: The student is able to work as a member of a software team for mobile solution development. She can implement either a mobile user interface or a cloud-based server side solution.
Grade 1: The student knows the principles of mobile solutions and cloud-based systems.
