Learning Outcomes

The student obtains understanding of the importance of cyber security, she becomes familiar with the most common problems related with cyber security, she learns to use the most common security testing software and the student learns the principles of cyber safe working in the ICT working environment.

Student's Workload

81 h, which contains 42 h of scheduled contact studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Introduction to Technical Studies, Introduction to Programming.

Contents

Basics of modern cyber security, most common security problems, methods for security testing, cyber safe working in the ICT environment.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: The student shows that she can master the course contents excellently and she has adopted the principles of cyber safe working in the ICT environment.
Grade 3: The student masters the course contents at a reasonable level and she knows how to work in a cyber safe way in the ICT environment.
Grade 1: The student knows the principles of cyber safe working and recognizes the most common cyber security risks and hazards.
