Learning Outcomes
The student knows the complex number system when calculating AC circuits and knows how to apply it to practical circuits, choose the best solution method for varying applications, can use PC software when calculating circuits.

Contents
Components of AC circuit. Curent, voltage, power and energy as a funktion of time. Complex number system, power calculation in AC systems, series and parallel resonance circuits and their application, quality factor and bandwith. Use of matrix equation with mesh and node analysis, superposition, Thevenin and Norton theorems, simple network parameters and the use of desibel, circuits containing drived sources, symmetric and asymmetric 3-phase systems.
