Learning Outcomes
To give the student the knowledge and ability of handling international trade issues such as export and import management. He/she gets familiar with drawing up the contract, terms of delivery, trade documentation, transportation, customs, insurance and forwarding in international trade.
Student's Workload
Lectures and exercises 50 h, preparing oneself for an examination 20 h, project work 40 h, self-study and reflections 25 h.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.
Contents
Export and import plans, contents of a foreign contract. Terms of delivery. Terms of payment. Documents needed in foreign trade. Transportation. Insurance, forwarding and dispatch of goods and customs clearance in international trade.

Lectures, group discussions, exercises, group works and individual assignments.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student can give reasons for solutions made when acting in tasks of an expert. He can recognise development needs in the field.
Grade 3: The student can utilize essential consepts in a single assignments and understand the theories on which the assignments are based. He recognises the area of expertise in his/her field.
Grade 1: The student recognises and understands the essential theories, principles and methods. He/she recognises the area of expertise in his/her field.
Assessment Methods
Classroom lectures, assignments, two examinations (Contract Law and Foreign Trade). Numerical grading (0-5).
