Learning Outcomes

The student is able to utilize previously learned PLC programming in the most demanding automation applications, knows the terminology and parameterization related to the definition and use of bus systems and intelligent sensors, and knows the significance and potential of the cell controller in, for example, a robotized automation cell.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

Machine Automation 2 course completed.

Contents

Enhanced PLC use, bus technology, intelligent sensors, ethernet bus at topology and protocols, and its use in automation systems, cell controllers.
