Learning Outcomes

This course examines the main issues in the production and delivery of goods and services. It includes designing the product and its accompanying production process, acquiring and organizing the necessary resources, and planning and executing production. In this course we will study the management of the operations/production function and introduce students to recent technologies that improve production management and how to motivate people to improve the production process. We will concentrate on both understanding how the provision of goods is organized and managed and recognizing potential areas of improvement in the management of goods and services.
