Learning Outcomes

The student learns to produce a total survey to determine and model a chosen environmental entity and to assess its development during a wide-scale environmental design project. The student will form a comprehension of the state of the environment and understands the components constituting the environmental entity and their environmental impacts.

The student learns to use target-oriented information acquisition for the project. The student develops practical skills to operate in a wide and interactive design environment.

Student's Workload

Total work load for the student: 135 h

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

Built Environment
Geographic Information Systems

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Wide-scale individual and/or group work.

Getting familiar with literature in the field that supports the project, previous surveys and designs, getting familiar with previously implemented objects, and analysing the examples in the field and information acquisition using databases. Project management.

Assessment Methods

Project work and presentation. Self evaluation, group evaluation.
