Learning Outcomes

You know the grammatical basics and pronunciation of Finnish language. You can introduce yourself and talk about yourself as well as others. You are able to talk about your week (what you do) in the present/future and what you did (in the past). You can ask questions. You know how you can continuously develop your Finnish skills.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

There are no prerequisite courses. However, it is advisable to become familiar with “Survival Finnish”, the very basics of Finnish, on your own when you know that are going to start you studies in Finland.

Contents

To be and to have, other verbs in the present and in the simple past. Nouns in their basic, partitive and genitive form. Talking about everyday life, studying and people. Most important every-day vocabulary and phrases, Finnish culture and society.
