Learning Outcomes
The student is familiar with the information systems in the field and with the role of the designer and knows the various sectors of the monitoring of the living environment. The student is able to draw up solutions from a wide and interactive point of view when working within use of environment. The student is familiar with the objectives of controlling the development of the environment and knows the quality factors of a good environment.

Contents
The legislative objectives of monitoring the living environment, the sectors under monitoring, work models and sources of information; social dimensions of changes in the environment; quality of living environment, interaction between various environmental factors; role of designer and design communications; development line of community planning, traffic strategies, nature factors and sustanainable land use.

Lectures 20h, essays and surveys 8 h, course portfolio 26 h.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student shows development tendency, masters the requirements and the contents of the study unit and can apply what s/he has learn in independent work excellently. The student has completed all assignments in a given time.
Grade 3: The student masters the majority of requirements and the contents of the study unit and is able to apply well what s/he has learnt in independent work. The student has completed all requires assignments.
Grade 1: The student shows that s/he knows some of the requirements and contents of the study unit and can apply what s/he has learn when assisted
Assessment Methods
Course portfolio, written essays and surveys 50%. Active participation, group working skills and public presentation of the results and written exam 50%. Numerical assessment.
