To develop the student's skills and readiness to prepare environmental management system structures and descriptions.

Contents
The most usual EMSs in use. Difference between the ISO environmental and quality systems and combining them. Constructing a small-scale environmental system in accordance with the ISO standard.

Material announced by the teacher and independent information retrieval.
Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Constructing an EMS or a part of it as a practical project. Lectures and project guidance and follow-up take place during the scheduled contact lessons. Building an EMS requires independent information retrieval.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 1: The student knows the contents of the study unit that are relevant in working life.
Grade 3: The student is bale to utilise the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
Grade 5: The student is able to utilise and apply the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
Assessment Methods
The grade is based on the EMS parts constructed during the study unit and of the final report.
