Learning Outcomes
To learn the functional principles and classification of landscape entities in various scales, to deepen one's own understanding and create skills for design approach when analysing and designing both the organic elements as well as holistic methods for landscape planning. To know the functionality of the landscape concerning abiotic, biotic and cultural processes in interaction in a larger scale and entities. To develop strategies towards a holistic understanding and professional approach both in environmental analysis, assessment and in landscape design.
Contents
Landscape entities and their functional development and potential quality, regional landscape strategies, regional green area structures, national landscapes, national parks and landmarks; urban nature base and future change in urban structure; productivity and tolerance of natural processes in urban areas; revitalization principles for urban nature base; principles and strategies for landscape protection.
