Learning Outcomes

To learn to apply the landscape structure theory in environmental design and land-use planning.
To research the principles, elements and processes of the functional landscape structure when creating the future strategies for design, revitalisation or renovation of the landscape entities. To learn to analyse a landscape as a functional organic whole in order to create the prerequisites towards a sustainable environment.

Contents

Landscape structure theory; elements of the functional organic landscape structure, simplification of landscape structure, restoration, revitalisation and planning strategies in developing the landscape structure green structure theory and planning, water cycle and waterscape design in urban areas, use and classification of green areas and greenway systems; national landscape strategies, landscape management and protection; uniqueness and locality of a landscape.
