Learning Outcomes
The student will understand the operational mechanism of the most important components of analog electronics, as well as learns to analyse and design small electric circuits. (S)he will learn how to confirm circuit behaviour by simulation and test connections, and learns how to write technical documentations.
Student's Workload
189 h, containing 98 h of scheduled contact studies.
Contents
An overview to electromechanical and semiconductor components of electronics. Transistor and amplifier connections, power suppliers. Simulations of electric circuits. Laboratory exercises and technical documentation.
Recommended or Required Reading and Other Learning Resources/Tools
A course book (e.g. Timo Haiko: Analoginen elektroniikka. 2009) and handouts.
Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Lectures, exercises, computer work, laboratory exercises.
Assessment Criteria
1: Knows the operational mechanism of the most central components of electronics.
3: Is able to design a simple electric circuit.
5: Can apply electronics in solving a given problem.
Assessment Methods
Examinations and assessment of practical work.
