Learning Outcomes

The student is able to assemble a PC from components and knows how to install necessary software. She can install the operating system and the software needed by common users.

Student's Workload

81 h, containing 42 h of scheduled contact studies.

Contents

PC assembly from components: Case, supply unit, mother PC board, processer, memories, display drivers, network card, audio card, etc. Software: Operating systems, drivers for various devices, other programs.

Teamwork in small groups.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: The student can manage demanding problems related with PCs and peripheral devices.
Grade 3: The student is able to build and repair different kinds of PCs.
Grade 1: The student is able to build and repair a basic PC.
