Learning Outcomes

The student knows the complex number system when calculating AC circuits and is able to apply it to practical circuits, choose the best solution method for varying applications and is able to use PC software when calculating circuits.

Contents

Complex number system, power calculation in AC system, series and parallel resonance circuits and their application, use of matrix equation with mesh and node analysis, superposition, the Thevenin and Norton theorems, simple network parameters and the use of decibel, circuit containing drived sources.
