Learning Outcomes

The student regards safety as an important part of professional ethics. The student is aware of the significance of the occupational and industrial safety and knows the ways in which safety at the workplace is maintained and developed. The student completed the required exams for occupational safety and first aid card.
The student knows the safety regulations connected with electrical work and learns to take care of occupational safety in the laboratory, electrical work and when planning the electrical work and learns to act correctly in case of an electrical accident.

Contents

The most important reglations concerning occupational safety. Occupational safety at work place. Work-related illnesses and hazards, their assessment and elimination. General work instruction at work place and risk factors and their elimination, as well as preparing for accidents and first aid measures.

Assessment Criteria

1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise themethods learnt during the study unit.
3: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently.
5: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and combine the knowledge with previously learnt in various contexts.

Assessment Methods

Participation in at least 75% of contact lessons. Written exam in which at least 75% of the answers have to be correct to pass the exam.
