Learning Outcomes

The student can draw up reports in English on the common core theme. S/he understands the main points from the texts on the common core theme and on electrical engineering in general. The student can keep up a conversation on an electrotechnical product at the trade fair. The student can write an application letter and CV in English.

Contents

Reports and presentations on the topic of the common core theme, process description and texts and vocabulary in the field of electrical engineering and on the common core theme. Application letter and CV, meeting and negoatiation skills.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: The student is able to communicate fluently, almost without mistakes, both in speech and in writing in work-related situations. S/he has an extensive vocabulary of the field and understands field-specific texts without difficulty. The student can produce a well-structured and almost faultless project report in English
Grade 3: The student knows the essential vocabulary and understands the texts in the field. S/he is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in the speech. The student is able to produce a project report or an abstract for it in English.
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field. S/he can follow work discussions and can give a presentation by reading it from the paper. The student is able to produce a satisfactory project report, or an abstract for it using a template.

Exam, assessment of exercisesand home assignments and reports, active participation in contact teaching.
