Learning Outcomes

The student can draw up a project report and give an oral presentation. The stuent can draw up simple instructions in English and can write business letters and emails in English. S/he understands the main points in texts dealing with electrical engineering and on the common core theme and can describe a process both orally and in writing.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: The student is able to communicate fluently, almost without mistakes, both in speech and in writing in work-related situations. S/he has an extensive vocabulary of the field and understands field-specific texts without difficulty. The student can produce a well-structured and almost faultless project report as well as business letters and instructions in English.
The student knows the essential vocabulary and understands the texts in the field. S/he is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in the speech. The student is able to produce a project report or an abstract for it and business letters and intructions in English.
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field. S/he can follow work discussions and can give a presentation by reading it from the paper. The student is able to produce a satisfactory project report, or an abstract for it, and business letters using a template.

Assessment Methods

Exam, assessment of exercises and home assignments, active participation in contact teaching.
