Learning Outcomes

The student knows the quantities related to electrostatics, DC power and electronics and understands the related phenomena. The student knows the electrical properties of materials and knows the use and rating of basic components. The student is able to perform basic electrical measurements and choose the approriate method for each situation. The student also able to solve problems in electrostatics, DC power, and electronics. The student gets exercise in working independently and in groups in the laboratory.

The total work of the common core theme is 459 h, divided into eight study units.

Contents

The following study units are included in the common core theme:
Electrostatics, Chemistry in Electrical Engineering, DC Circuits, Basic Electrical Measurements, Analytic Geometry and LInera Algebra, Basics of Electronics, Computer Engineering and Project in Measuring Technology.

Theories related to the topic, calculation examples and applications are delat with during the study units. Calculation exercises are done independently and experimental measurments in the laboratory.
