Learning Outcomes
The student is familiar with the basic structure and function of a microprocessor based electronic device. The student learns how to apply the knowledge learnt during the course to electronic devices that often come up in electrical engineering, such as protection relays, control circuits of a frequency converter and programmable logic controllers.
Student's Workload
The total amount of student's work is 54 h, which contains 24 h of contact studies. The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Binary signal and its formats and processing. Structure of an electronic device including the operating principle of memory, processor, A/D converter and D/A converter and operating principle of data and address buses.
