Learning Outcomes
The student becomes acquainted with the tasks of the process automation and with the tasks of an automation engineer. After the course the student has general knowledge of the process automation and its activities as well as of the requirements on different industrial branches.

The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.
Contents
Tasks, required operations, operation principles, structures of process automation systems in different industrial branches; basics principles of measuring and control of the process variables; controllability of the processes, operation principles of the controllers and the control loops; specification and implementation of a control task; PLCs; operations and principal structures of equipment in process automation.
