Learning Outcomes

The student has sufficient skills i Swedish to manage in various situations in working life and Swedish skills that are required of officials in bilingual areas. S/he understands technical texts of her/his own professional field and is able to produce oral and written Swedish required in an engineer's profession. S/he also understands the significance of language skills and internationality in working life.

Oral and written communication needed in working life, e.g. telephoning situations, company/product presentation and business correspondence;texts and vocabulary on the field of electrical engineering.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 1: The student is able to participate in most usual work-related situations ja uses simple structures and single words in communications. The student knows part of the vocabulary leartn during the study unit. The student has a positive attitude towards language learning.
Grade 3: The student manages satisfactorily in most usual work-related situations and uses structures and phrases, with occasional mistakes. The student uses the vocabulary leartn during the study unit. The attitude totards language learning is positive.
Grade 5:
The student manages well in various work-related situations and uses structures correctly. The student knows an extensive vocabulary of the field. The student has a positive attitude towards language learning.

Assessment Methods

Exams, continuous assessment and active participation in contact teaching.
