Learning Outcomes
The student is able to design and implement a PLC assembly which meets the requirements of the field equipment and the required operations; specification of I/O according to the requirements of the field devices, engineering of PLC structures and field wiring, hardware configurations and parameterization of operations in order to implement a PLC Control System
Contents
Specifying the quality and quantity of I/O-connections based on the requirements set by the process to be controlled; engineering of the PLC assembly, centralized/distributed structures and operations, distributed I/O, distributed parallel program processing; engineering of cabling, wiring, power supplies, grounding, protections against electrical disturbances, self and loop diagnostics, process interrupts
