Learning Outcomes
The student learns the most usual methods and connects of measuring for physical magnitudes used in electro-technical and process industry, as well as the use and operating principles of used measuring instruments and supervisory devices.
Student's Workload
The total amount of student's work is 54 h, which contains 28 h of contact studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents
The study unit consists of lectures on certain themes which are followed by laboratory exercises in the same themes. The themes are: use of oscilloscope; current, voltage, power and energy measurements; use and connection of an instrument transformer, transducers, photocells, inductive and capacitive sensors, most usual measuring techniques for industrial process variables and use of computer-based measuring systems.

Assessment Criteria

Assessment Methods
Exam, the contents and language of the laboratory report are assessed.
