Learning Outcomes
The course provides basics of complex numbers and functions of a complex variable, their differential and integral calculus, as well as of series expansions in a complex domain.
Contents
Complex numbers and functions of a complex variable, analytic functions, Cauchy-Riemann equations. Integration in the complex plane, the Cauchy integral theorem, the Cauchy integral formula. Power series expansions in the complex domain, the Taylor and the Laurent expansions. Calculus of residues, the residue theorem.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Theory, examples and exercises during the lectures. Homework exercises. Computer exercises with mathematical software.
Assessment Methods
Homework exercises and an examination. A student must perform at least 25% of the homework exercises. The possible computer exercises must be returned to the lecturer.
