Learning Outcomes
The course is a requirements for the studies in PLCs, relay protection and utilisation of electrical energy.
The student will get familiar with regulations and technical aspects related to the installation of electrical components in connection of constructing a motor starter. The Electrotechncial Drawings study unit is arranged simulataneusly so that skills first learnt in theory can be applied in practice in the laboratory.
Contents
A motor starter centre initially equipped with push button control is constructed in the study unit. In the next phase a PLC will be installed into the centre with which the start-ups and lockings will be executed.
The structure of a PLC will be dealt with and a required program made. The centre is tested with measurements after which a motor is engaged with it.
