Learning Outcomes

The student will understand the effect of the loads on the structures used in normal practice, understands the function of simple, structurally determinate structures and can analyse structures.

The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Equilibrium of a rigid body. Stresses of a rod sturcture: tension and compression, bending and shearing, torsion. Force planes. Isostatic beam, frame, rib and lattice stuctures. Lines of action. Calculations sofware.
