Learning Outcomes
The student understands the effect of concrete ingredients, frsh concrete and concreting on set concrete and significance of right wotk methods, curing, care and supervision to the success of concreting work. The student knows the factors that have efefct on the durability of the concrete, such as environmental conditions, admixtures and surfacing. The student knows the laboratory tests made on fresh concrete and laboratory tests related to analysis and study of set concrete.
Student's Workload
The total amount of student's work is 135 h, which contains 64 h of contact studies and 71 h autonomous studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Concrete ingredients and their effect on the properties of fresh concrete. Manufacture and transport of fresh concrete. Development og concrete strength and ensuring the strength in various conditions. Performing concreting and various concreting methods. Quality in concrete building. Durability and corrosion of concrete structures. Various molds, mold systems and support structures. Proportioning of concrete and properties of fresh concrete. Properties of set concrete: crush strength, tensile strength, impermiability and frost resistance.
